Would it be alright if I could create a teacher for light magic? Let's just say he's a former priest who apposed a demon in disguise, making him a demon as a curse. Of course, he's still managed to keep his light magic, which has been keeping him from going insane.

I don't see why not, as you have an explanation as to how a demon could do light magic.
